Preston Hedges Primary School celebrates national recognition as one of England’s best places to work
Preston Hedges Primary School, part of Preston Hedges Trust, has been named a winner of the National Staff Choice Award, recognising it as one of the top 10 schools in England where staff would recommend their workplace as a good place to work.

Awarded by Edurio, a leading provider of feedback surveys for schools and multi-academy trusts, the accolade is based on staff responses to the question: “How likely are you to recommend your workplace as a good place to work?”
The award recognises schools that have created positive professional cultures where colleagues feel supported, valued and motivated to do their best work. Preston Hedges Primary School’s achievement reflects the importance placed on teamwork, staff wellbeing and creating an environment in which people can thrive.

The results are drawn from Edurio’s national Staff Experience surveys conducted during the 2025/26 academic year. Of the 2,187 primary and secondary schools in England that completed the survey, Preston Hedges Primary School was among the 10 highest-scoring nationally.
The recognition also reflects Preston Hedges Trust’s commitment to creating positive working environments across its schools, where colleagues are encouraged to collaborate, share expertise and continually develop their practice in support of children’s learning and achievement.
Ernest Jenavs, CEO at Edurio, said: “Congratulations to this year's winners of the National Staff Choice Award. Staff know their school better than anyone, so when they say they would recommend it as a place to work, that is a very strong endorsement. Leaders in these schools have built places where people feel supported and trusted to do their best work, and that makes it easier to recruit and keep great staff.”
The National Staff Choice Award celebrates the important role that staff experience plays in building successful schools. By listening to colleagues and using their feedback to inform decisions, schools can continue to strengthen their culture, support their teams and provide the best possible educational experiences for children.
