Mr York, a popular Year 4 teacher at the Academy, took part in a thrilling charity skydive last weekend to raise funds for the organisation, which provides specialist therapeutic support to vulnerable children and young people

The fundraising challenge aims to help ensure that children who are struggling emotionally can continue to access the vital support and services they need.

The school community has rallied behind Mr York, with staff, pupils and families showing their encouragement through donations and messages of support.

Mrs Kendal, Executive Principal of Danesholme Infant and Junior Academies, said:

“We are incredibly proud of Mr York for taking on this challenge. KidsAid provides invaluable support for young people, and every pound raised will help children access the therapeutic services they need. We hope our community will get behind him and help him reach his fundraising target.”

The school is encouraging members of the local community to support Mr York’s fundraising efforts. Every donation, no matter how small, can help KidsAid continue its important work supporting children and young people through difficult times.

Those wishing to support Mr York and contribute to the fundraising campaign can donate through his JustGiving page:

Danesholme Infant and Junior Academies hopes the challenge will inspire others to support the cause and demonstrate the positive impact a school community can have.
