Jack Sowerby and Mickel Miller are both doubts for tomorrow’s game against Oxford United.

Sowerby was absent for Saturday’s clash with Crewe Alexandra due to a knee problem while Miller limped off in the second-half of that game with a hamstring complaint.

The 25-year-old Rotherham United loanee missed nearly two months with a similar problem and manager Jon Brady was taking no risks.

In better news, defender Alan Sheehan is edging closer to a return following three weeks out.

“Sowerby is having a scan on a knee problem,” confirmed Brady. “Mickel is being checked over by the physios and he will be touch and go for tomorrow.

”Alan Sheehan is now training with more consistency so it might be a good opportunity for him to be closer to the squad.

”So we have some ins and some outs but that’s the state of it at the moment with games coming thick and fast and it’s going to be like that.”
