Fire at major food manufacturing company on Northampton industrial estate

Fire crews remain on scene at a food manufacturing business in Northampton following a blaze inside the building.
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) was called to reports of a fire at TMI Foods in Lodge Way, Northampton at around 2.30pm on Wednesday November 4 following a 999 calls.
Crews from Moulton, The Mounts and Mereway arrived at TMI Foods to find a fire on the first floor.
A spokesperson for NFRS said: “They used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire just after 3.20pm.
“Firefighters remain on scene to dampen down hotspots and actively monitor the site.”
TMI Foods is a major food manufacturing business based on the Lodge Farm Industrial Estate – home to hundreds of businesses.
