Defender Alan Sheehan has been ruled out for the rest of the season after sustaining another muscle injury.

The 34-year-old centre-back has had his injury troubles since joining Northampton last October, starting only one of their last 11 games.

He will now miss the remaining four fixtures of Town's League One campaign, and fellow defender Peter Kioso also remains a doubt ahead of tomorrow's game against Ipswich.

"Alan will be out for the rest of the season with a quad injury unfortunately," confirmed manager Jon Brady.

"Peter is trying his best to get back but we're not sure that we can free up his groin problem. Nacho is doing all he can but we're just having to wait and see."

In better news, Mickel Miller could make an early return from his hamstring injury and may even be on the bench tomorrow evening.

"The list of injuries we had before hasn't really changed but we might get Miller back involved," Brad added.

"He could at least be on the bench and get limited minutes but that's probably about it. It is what it is and we're having to work with that same group of 12 to 13 players that we've had throughout this whole process."
