Mickel Miller is facing up to three weeks on the sidelines with the hamstring injury he sustained at Lincoln City on Saturday.

The 25-year-old Rotherham loanee, on his maiden outing for Northampton, started well at Sincil Bank but trudged off after just 36 minutes with a hamstring problem.

Further investigation has revealed a minor tear which will keep him out for the next three games.

The news on Jack Sowerby and Alan Sheehan is more positive with both close to a return.

"We think Mickel will be about three weeks," said manager Keith Curle. "We're hoping Alan Sheehan will be about a week and it'll probably be the same for Jack Sowerby.

"We'll see how they respond to treatment. Mickel had a scan and he has a grade one tear, which is normally between 10 days and three weeks."
