Northampton-based Christmas markets are back on throughout the county and, as usual, there is plenty of festive food and drink to be had.

When is the St Luke's Centre Christmas Market?

Saturday, November 17

Where is the event taking place?

St Luke's Centre, Main Road, Duston, NN5 6JB

What time does the Christmas Market start and finish?

11am - 4pm.

What is there to do at Christmas Market?

40 stallholders will be selling their wares including crafts, gifts and food stalls and festive music.

Some of the stall holders include The Little Smokehouse, Hopping Hare Candles, Corner House Crafts, Steve's Woodcraft and Flamingo Paperie.

Those who go along are asked to take a Christmas treat for the United Reform Church food bank collection, including Christmas crackers or mince pies.

What food and drink does the Christmas Market sell?

The cafe will be serving filled jacket potatoes, mulled wine and mince pies while a vintage-style caravan will be outdoors serving mulled cider among other treats, for a fee.

Is the Christmas Market good for children?

There will be a Santa's grotto onsite, as well as children's craft activities and there will be a local music group singing carols and welcoming people in.

Higham Ferrers Christmas Market and Fair is growing in popularity, bosses say.

Expect a vibrant day with a traditional funfair and an international Christmas market.

The event will play host to 23 stalls, and entertainment is provided as the town gets dressed up for the Christmas celebration.

When is My Little Vintage Handmade and Christmas Gift Market?

10am - 4pm

What is there to do at the market?

Back for a second year, the market is playing host to 30 huts, filled with local artisan traders, collectors and creators who will be selling vintage, handmade and Christmas gifts.

Stalls will include crochet, art work, jewellery, candles, home decor, Christmas gifts, painted furniture, gifts for pets, Christmas gifts and soft furnishings.

There is over 60 hand made stalls in heated marquees. All exhibitors have credit card machines, so please bring cash or cheques.

Children (and adults) can visit the reindeer.

Chronicle & Echo columnist John Griff will open the fair at 10am.

What is there to do at the market?

The Christmas fair features all homemade and handmade items from the residents, staff, management and volunteers. Plus there will be a raffle with fantastic prizes to be won including donations from Aston Martin Red Bull F1 and Aston Martin Lagonda, National Hunt Trainer, Caroline Bailey and the casts of Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

Stalls include cakes, chutneys, jams, marmalade and preserves, Christmas gifts, cards and decorations, a bottle tombola, guess the weight of the cake and lucky dip jars where you win every time.

What food and drink does the St Christopher's Care Home Christmas fair sell?

There will be hot food and drink including mulled wine.

The care home also has a Santa's Grotto costing £3 per child, which includes an excellent gift all donated by local businesses and you can even take your own photographs free of charge.

There will be a children's activities room where they can paint a plate for Santa's visit on Christmas Eve.

Santa will be reunited with one of his special little elves, known to St. Christopher's residents as "Blitzen". He turned up unexpectedly at St. Christopher’s Care Home for a pre-Christmas respite stay from the rather cold and frosty North Pole, sent by kindly employer, Santa Claus.

He will return with Santa to the North Pole after the Christmas fair to continue the very busy work.

When is the Northampton town centre Christmas Market - The Frost Fair?

The Frost Fair and Christmas Parade will be on Sunday, December 2.

Where is the event taking place?

Market Square, Northampton NN1 2DL

11am

What is there to do at the Frost Fair?

Stalls offering unique gifts, handmade decorations and festive food and drink will open on the Market Square.

Along with a fun creative workshop, that will help to keep littles ones entertained during your busy Christmas shopping trip. Children can choose to make one of two different mystical animal headdresses, to take home or wear during the Christmas parade.

Mulled wine and cider will also be available on the day from a pop-up bar on the market - for one day only!

Santa and his sleigh will follow a parade of arctic animals as they wind around the town centre streets to the Market Square.

Starting at The Deco theatre at 1pm, local school children and members of the public will join the parade as it makes its way down Abington Street and around the Market Square.

Join Kelmarsh Hall for a festive shopping experience at their Christmas Fair where there will be a number of unique food and gift stalls throughout the hall.

The newly opened Below Stairs will also be dressed for a Victorian Christmas – perfect for all the family to explore.

Is the fair good for children?

There will be a special visit from Father Christmas.

How to get tickets?

Entry to the fair is £5 per car.

The GIN NOOK will be serving over 40 gin tonic and cocktails plus warmed gin punch and spiced chilli hot chocolate plus all gin gifts.

The Moorgate Farm will be cooking turkey to give as samples

Bandit Street Food will be serving Americana BBQ street food

Healy's of Winwick will be serving draught and bottled craft cider as well as mulled cider to keep those winter chills away.

Farmer Lou - Posh Pork & Lush Lamb will be selling fresh sausages, bacon and joints as well as serving hog roast, turkey roast and hot dogs.

A chance for last minute shopping at the Abbey will see dozens of artisan stalls selling produce from local traders.

Among those stalls on offer include Kendall & Company who be selling luxury hand poured soy wax candles and reed diffusers, My Sweet Theory who sell chocolate slabs and truffles and Creative Vibe Glassblowing Limited will be selling art glass sculptures.

Is the fair good for children?

On offer for children will be festive pony rides, nativity petting zoo, face painting, rides, Santa's grotto and a Frozen-themed grotto (on Sunday only).
