Northamptonshire construction teams switch to pink to unite for Breast Cancer Now
Taking place on Friday 23 October, the fundraising initiative saw employees and contractors at Spitfire’s Malabar collection in Daventry join colleagues across the Midlands in wearing pink to raise awareness and funds for the UK’s leading breast cancer charity.

Part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Wear it Pink was founded in 2002[1], and Spitfire Homes has supported the initiative for three consecutive years, with this year’s contribution bringing the company’s cumulative fundraising total to just under £10,000.
Through this year’s drive for donations, Spitfire Homes, alongside its contractors, has generated over £2,425.

Fundraising for Breast Cancer Now furthers Spitfire Homes’ charitable efforts in 2026, following the first panel of the brand-new Spitfire Homes Community Fund, which saw 10 Midlands charities, groups or organisations selected for funding totalling just under £5,000.
According to Cancer Research UK, around 59,400 people are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK, more than 160 people a day. [2]
For over two decades, Wear it Pink supporters have raised over £45 million for people affected by breast cancer, with Breast Cancer Now aiming to help find a cure for all stages of the disease.
Matt Vincent, Operations Director at Spitfire Homes, said: “We’re incredibly proud of the response to this year’s Wear it Pink campaign. Teams at Malabar and across each collection in the Midlands embraced the day, and the generosity of our employees, contractors and supply-chain partners has enabled us to make a meaningful contribution to Breast Cancer Now’s vital work. Thank you to everyone involved.”
