Grassroots Wellbeing began with a simple belief: people should be seen, valued and heard.
Our founder, Victoria Aregbesola, has spent over a decade working alongside children, young people and families in community, faith-based, youth organisation, private and public sector settings. As a BACP-registered integrative therapist and qualified youth worker, she has worked directly with more than 1,000 children and young people.
Again and again, she saw the same thing. Support existed, but it did not always reach the young people who needed it most, or it did not feel like it was made for them.
Too often, young people aged 13 to 25, care-experienced young people, and families under financial pressure are offered help that does not understand their culture, their community or their story. Black young people and communities facing barriers to services can feel unseen before a conversation has even started. When that happens, people stay silent, struggles grow, and opportunities are missed.
Grassroots Wellbeing was set up to change that. We offer culturally grounded, trauma-informed support that meets people where they are, without labels and without judgement. Our work is rooted in community, shaped by lived experience and delivered with care.
