At just 13 years old, Northamptonshire teenager Teddy James Morphy, otherwise known as DJ T.Tonic, wants to share his story to inspire other children who may be struggling with bullying, autism, ADHD or simply finding their place in the world.

Diagnosed with autism at 11 and also living with ADHD, Teddy openly admits that understanding himself, his emotions and the world around him hasn’t always been easy. He’s experienced bullying and often finds everyday social situations challenging.

But Teddy has a message for other children: “Okay, I’m autistic, so what?”

Rather than allowing his autism, ADHD or bullying to define him, Teddy has chosen to be recognised for his abilities, determination and dedication to something he absolutely loves – music.

Inspired by his idols Chase & Status, Teddy discovered DJing and has spent countless hours practising and developing his skills. While everyday situations can leave him feeling uncomfortable or lacking confidence, put headphones on his head and decks in front of him, and he shines.

And now his hard work is paying off!

On Saturday 31 October, Halloween night, Teddy will perform his very first nightclub DJ gig in Northampton, aged just 13!

But what makes this story particularly special is that Teddy himself wants it shared.

As he recently told his mum, Lisa:

“Memaw, kids just have ta know autism, bullying, it’s okay. Just do what u love.”

Teddy wants other children to understand that being different, experiencing bullying or struggling with mental health doesn’t mean their future is limited.

His message is simple: find something you love, believe in your abilities and never allow the difficulties you face to decide what you can achieve.

His mum, Lisa, says:

“To the world, I hope one day he’ll be known as DJ T.Tonic. But to me, he’ll always be my beautiful boy who found confidence, happiness and purpose through music. I’m incredibly proud that he wants to use his own experiences to encourage other children.”

Teddy isn’t asking for fame or special treatment. He simply hopes that sharing his journey might help another child who feels misunderstood realise that their story is far from over.

Because every successful DJ started somewhere.

And for DJ T.Tonic, this Halloween is just the beginning. ❤️🎧
