Miller has produced some promising performances in 2026, including a first century for the club in a One Day Cup match against Lancashire, and a first-class half-century at star-studded Durham.

Miller made his County debut in a tour match against India in 2022, and has since gone on to play 36 times for the club across all formats.

“I’m really happy to sign a new contract at the club," said Miller.

“It’s a great time to be a player at Northamptonshire, and to see how this club is moving forward is awesome."

"It’s a privilege to be part of such a special group like this.

"I’m looking forward to keep improving and keep pushing my case to play more and more first team cricket."

Head coach Darren Lehmann is pleased that Miller has signed a new deal at Wantage Road.

"We're very pleased to have Gus with us for at least another year," said the Australian.

"He's a wonderful character to have around the changing room, and he's put in some good performances this year, so we're hoping to see him build on that going into next season."
