Tributes paid to former Northamptonshire footballer, 26, who died following attack
A former Northamptonshire footballer who died following an alleged assault in Milton Keynes has been remembered as a talented and inspirational young man.
Ezekiel Williams, aged 26, died in hospital on Monday, November 2, after suffering injuries during an incident in Midsummer Boulevard early on Sunday, November 1.
Thames Valley Police launched a murder investigation and arrested two men on suspicion of murder.
His former club, Kettering Town FC, paid tribute to Ezekiel, who joined the Poppies for pre-season training ahead of the 2024/25 campaign but did not remain because of travelling difficulties.

A club spokesperson described him as a popular dressing-room figure who demonstrated leadership and humility.
They said: “He was a talented, kind, and a truly inspirational individual who had his faith at the forefront of his heart.”
Ezekiel subsequently played for Hendon FC, competing in the Isthmian South Central division.
The club remembered him as a generous, hardworking midfielder with a sharp sense of humour.
Away from playing, Ezekiel was head of youth development at Journey of a Pro, a West London football coaching organisation rooted in Christian values.
A fundraising appeal established in his memory had raised £16,840 when reported.
Organisers highlighted his commitment to helping young footballers develop their confidence and pursue professional careers.
They described him as a humble, family-orientated man whose influence extended beyond football.
