From November 23 until an expected completion date of December 5, Sheep Street will have northbound-only one-way arrangements between Greyfriars and The Drapery, alongside provision for a temporary prohibition of through traffic.

The Drapery will operate southbound only between Mercers Row and Sheep Street when Sheep Street is closed to through traffic.

Diversions for the town centre arrangements include routes using Greyfriars, Horsemarket, Horseshoe Street, St Peter's Way and Bridge Street, with other routes specified according to direction.

Elsewhere, Park Avenue North, between Wellingborough Road and Broadway East, is subject to a closure order beginning November 6, with restrictions expected for up to five days.

Cartwright Road, between Currie Road and Kingsthorpe Road, also has an order starting November 6, with a one-day closure expected.

Danes Camp Way will close westbound between Towcester Road and Hunsbury Hill Road roundabouts for one night from November 10.

Southbound restrictions on Lumbertubs Way, from St Gregorys Road towards the Weston Favell on-slip and Round Spinney roundabout, are expected for two nights from November 11.

Other proposed restrictions include Gladstone Road from Heathfield Way, for five days from November 23, and westbound Kenmuir Avenue between Kelmarsh Road and Malcolm Road, from November 24 to November 30.

Church Hill in Wootton and Dallington Road are expected to close for one day from November 25, followed by Parkway from November 27.

From December 2, Milton Street North, Raeburn Road, Hollingside Drive and Ryland Road face one-day closures each.

Acre Lane has two sections scheduled for one-day repairs from December 3, while Bants Lane and Tollgate Way face up to three nights of restrictions from that date.

Further notices cover Swansea Crescent, Ash Lane, Weedon Road, and roads in Roade, Blisworth, Walgrave, Kislingbury, Long Buckby, Arthingworth, Kelmarsh, Culworth and Byfield.

Although the temporary orders can remain legally effective for 18 months, the advertised works are expected to take considerably less time. Restrictions apply when indicated by road signs.

The council has published alternative routes for affected motorists.
