Promotion-winning trio all looking for new clubs after release
Vadaine Oliver and Callum Morton, a productive strike partnership for Northampton once upon a time, will both be looking for a new club this summer after they were released this week.
The pair started eight games together in the 2019/20 season, including all three play-off ties, but both have struggled to find a settled home since and they will be free agents this summer after being let go by non-league sides Worthing and Hartlepool United.

Morton, now 26, scored one goal in nine appearances for Worthing. He netted nine times in 20 games across two loan spells at Sixfields, while 34-year-old Oliver struck four times for Hartlepool in 205/26.
Tyler Magloire, another promotion-winner during his time at Sixfields, has been released by Jon Brady at Port Vale. The 27-year-old suffered a horrific knee injury while playing for Cobblers and has struggled to find his feet since. He had a spell at Workington earlier in the season before linking up with Brady on a short-term deal.
Former Town loanee Mickel Miller is another player set to be a free agent after leaving Huddersfield Town, while the Terriers say negotiations remain ongoing with goalkeeper Nik Tzanev.
Elsewhere, one-time Town loanee Tyler Roberts is in talks with Mansfield over a new deal. He netted four times in 2025/26 and is one of several players ‘in discussions’ with the Stags, alongside Lucas Akins, Jordan Bowery, Elliott Hewitt, George Maris, Stephen McLaughlin and Anthony Nunez.
However, a social media post shared on Wednesday seemed to suggest his future lies elsewhere. “I will be forever grateful for the love and support that you have shown me,” wrote Roberts. “From the fans to the players and the staff, I have so much appreciation for you all, getting my enjoyment and smile back has been priceless. I pray nothing but great things come your way.”
