Former Cobblers defender Ali Koiki signs for new club
Former Cobblers defender Ali Koiki has signed for his first club since leaving Sixfields almost 18 months ago.
The 27-year-old left-back scored twice in 93 appearances for Northampton but was let go by then-manager Kevin Nolan at the end of the 2024/25 season. He’s since had several trials, including one at Cheltenham Town, but remained without a club for the 2025/26 campaign.

However, three months into the new season, Koiki has joined National League side Eastleigh on a short-term deal. He immediately made his debut as a second half substitute during Saturday’s 3-2 FA Cup win over Brentwood.
Born in Kensington, Koiki started his youth career at Crystal Palace before signing his first professional contract at Burnley in 2018.
Following his time at Burnley, which included a loan spell at Swindon, he signed for Bristol Rovers, before joining Northampton in 2021. He would go on to spend four seasons at Sixfields.
