With the retained list expected this week, Nolan is currently meeting his players. He must decide the futures of 16 out-of-contract players, as well as those who remain under contract for another season. Cobblers may also look at re-signing one or two of their loan players. Here’s a look at the situation ahead of the retained list...
13. Patrick Brough
Out of contract and has only played four times this season after breaking his leg. The fact he's had so little opportunity to impress Nolan makes a new deal seem unlikely, such is the cruelty of football sometimes Photo: Pete Norton
14. TJ Eyoma
Out of contract and it's 50/50 whether he earns another one. Good player but another one who's been in and out of the side since joining on a free Photo: Pete Norton
15. Samy Chouchane
Heads back to Brighton and no chance of a return given he hasn't played for Cobblers since January Photo: Pete Norton
16. Jack Sowerby
Out of contract and wasn't even registered after January so is certain to leave Photo: Pete Norton
