Callum Morton signs for new club after leaving Bristol Rovers
Cobblers Wembley winner and two-time loanee Callum Morton has signed for non-league Worthing following his release from Bristol Rovers.
The 26-year-old had two very contrasting loan spells at Sixfields, scoring eight goals en route to Wembley success in 2020, before last season’s stint was cut short by a serious knee injury suffered early in the campaign.

Morton was released by Salford City at the end of last season and spent the summer as a free agent before he was picked up on a short-term deal by League Two Bristol Rovers in November. He played only six times though, scoring just the one goal, and was released last month.
Now, the striker has headed down to the National League South, signing for Worthing until the end of the season.
Rebels manager Adam Hinshelwood said: “Callum is a really exciting player to add to our group. Hopefully at 26 he’s now entering the peak of his career and we hope to see that shine through in our final part of the season. He also adds that bit of experience that I think the group needs at this stage and has that know-how of playing at a higher level which I think will be invaluable to us.”
