New parking restrictions to come into force on two Northampton roads next week
New parking restrictions are set to come into force on two roads in Northampton next week in a bid to improve road safety and tackle obstructive parking.
West Northamptonshire Council has made a traffic regulation order introducing no-waiting restrictions on sections of Windingbrook Lane and Watermill Way.
The restrictions will prohibit motorists from waiting at any time on the affected stretches of road, with the changes taking effect on Monday, November 2.
According to the council, the measures are intended to improve road safety, reduce inappropriate and obstructive parking, and help traffic move safely through the area.

The precise lengths of road affected are specified in the order's Schedule, which was not included in the supplied notice.
Copies of the order can be inspected by appointment at Kier Highways, Brixworth Depot, Harborough Road, Brixworth, by calling 01604 529700.
Alternatively, residents can request a copy by emailing [email protected].
Anyone wishing to challenge the validity of the order on statutory grounds can apply to the High Court within six weeks of the date it was made.
