Turtle Bay closes down in Northampton town centre after nine years in business
Turtle Bay has closed down in Northampton town centre after nine years in business.
Turtle Bay’s Gold Street restaurant has closed after the landlord took possession of the premises.
A notice placed on the front door states the landlord exercised its right to "peaceably re-enter and take possession" of the site on Thursday July 23.
The notice, issued by Feldon Dunsmore Solicitors Ltd, states: "Any lease or license is hereby determined. This property is now legally occupied by the landlords."

An inventory of items left inside the restaurant lists tables, chairs, kitchen equipment, speakers, alcohol, drinkware, televisions, tills and more.
The Caribbean food and drink chain, which opened on Gold Street in 2017, had recently been put up for rent by commercial property agents Brasier Freeth at £70,000 a year.
The listing described the site as a fully fitted restaurant and bar with customer seating, a kitchen, basement space and an outdoor seating area.
The closure comes after Turtle Bay announced last month it was seeking approval for a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) as it looked to put the business on a "sustainable footing" following what it described as "significant economic headwinds".
The company said rising operating costs, reduced consumer spending, changing footfall patterns and historic property commitments had created financial pressure. As part of the restructuring, leases across around 30 per cent of its estate are being renegotiated.
Turtle Bay has recently confirmed closures at restaurants in Solihull, Walthamstow, York and Middlesbrough.
The Chronicle & Echo has contacted Turtle Bay for comment.
The restaurant had a Google rating of 4.8 stars from more than 7,000 reviews.
