Former tenant slapped with £600 fine after dumping mattresses, chest of drawers, wardrobe and baby basket outside block of flats in Spring Boroughs
A former Northamptonshire Partnership Homes (NPH) tenant has been issued with a £600 fine after being identified as responsible for a ‘significant’ fly-tip at one of residential blocks in Spring Boroughs.
Items that were left directly outside of St Stephens House included mattresses, chest of drawers, an entire wardrobe and baby basket.

The large-scale dumping of waste looked unsightly, caused disruption for residents, according to NPH.
Colleagues from the NPH Housing Management and Estates teams worked closely with West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) partners to gather evidence and build a case.
Thanks to this joint effort, the Neighbourhood Warden was able to identify the perpetrator and take enforcement action, resulting in a £600 fixed penalty notice.
NPH’s Head of Housing Management, Kelly Fitzgerald said: “Fly-tipping is a persistent problem across our estates in Northampton.
"This fine sends a clear message that we will take action against those responsible and will not tolerate this behaviour.
“The risk that fly tipping creates to the people living in the area can be life threatening in terms of fire risk or blocking paths and access points.
"The team will continue to work with our partners to keep estates clean and safe for all residents.”
Residents can report fly-tipping and other estate concerns by either calling the NPH contact centre on 0300 330 7003 or online.
