Paul Hurst put Rotherham into an early lead but Richard Walker and Martin Smith turned things around to set up a juicy fourth-round clash with Manchester United. We take a look at the line-up that afternoon. Can the current Cobblers class follow in their steps at Burton on Sunday?
5. RWB: Des Lyttle
Was a late arrival to the Cobblers that season, signing in early November, but went on to start 31 games in a row, including this tie, before moving to Forest Green the following summer.
6. LWB: Chris Carruthers
His handball led to the free-kick which Paul Hurst converted to put Rotherham ahead, but ultimately it didn't matter as Cobblers fought back. Came through the youth ranks at Sixfields and left in 2005.
7. Midfield: Paul Trollope
The midfielder was a regular for the Cobblers throughout the season. Played exactly 100 times for the club before retiring in 2006.
8. Midfield: Chris Hargreaves
This win at Rotherham was one of 53 appearances during the season, although he scored an own goal against United in the next round. Turned out to be his final year at the Cobblers after joining from Plymouth in 2000.
