Northamptonshire teen suspected of stealing grandparents’ car and ramming police vehicle to feature on TV

A 15-year-old suspected of stealing his grandparents’ car and ramming a police vehicle will feature in the latest episode of Police Interceptors.

Northamptonshire Police officers will return to TV screens when the Channel 5 programme airs at 8pm on Monday, September 7.

The episode will open with officers pursuing the teenager, whose attempted getaway takes him down a dead-end road before he rams a police car.

An officer named Callum then tackles a suspect who attempts to flee.

Elsewhere in the programme, officers are called to deal with a man causing disturbances in Kettering.

The incident eventually moves to a McDonald’s restaurant, where police say the man threatens to spit at a sergeant before being wrestled to the ground by PC Sculthorpe with assistance from seven other officers.

The episode is one of the final instalments of Police Interceptors featuring Northamptonshire Police, with the remaining programmes set to be shown on Channel 5 on Monday evenings.
