New wellness studio now open in Northampton offers reformer pilates, physiotherapy and sports massage under one roof

A new wellness studio is now open in Northampton, offering reformer pilates, physiotherapy and sports massage under one roof.

Nimble Studio, located at Spring Hill Farm in Pitsford, was launched by Leisha Mulvey on October 5 and she is passionate about the fact pilates has been used in physiotherapy rehabilitation for decades.

Every reformer pilates class is shaped by physiotherapy expertise. Whether someone is recovering from an injury, returning to exercise after having a baby or is completely new to pilates, they can train with confidence at Nimble.

If someone needs treatment, they can see a chartered physiotherapist or book a sports massage in the same place, rather than going back and forth between a clinic and studio.

Leisha started her career in health and wellbeing in 2016, working with a sports performance company before becoming a personal trainer and running her own evidence-based PT and nutrition business.

She later retrained and qualified as a chartered physiotherapist and is HCPC registered with a musculoskeletal background, as well as being a qualified pilates instructor who teaches reformer classes at the studio.

In April 2025, Leisha founded Caffeine & Kilometres, a free women’s run club across Northampton and Milton Keynes. It began with five people and has grown to more than 600, becoming an incredible space to find connection and friendship.

All of this experience has led Leisha to launching Nimble Studio, which brings clinical knowledge to a space that feels welcoming for everyone and new clients can try two reformer pilates classes for £35.

“I started working in health and fitness from a young age before uni and it’s a big part of my life,” Leisha told the Chronicle & Echo. “So many people go to so many different places and healthcare is disjointed. I want people to be able to optimise their health under one roof.

“There was a hole with physiotherapy and reformer pilates in Pitsford, Brixworth and Moulton, and people had to travel to the town centre, further south or Market Harborough. It was missing a wellbeing space that isn’t too clinical and I wanted to give back to my community during this healthcare crisis.”

Leisha is joined by a couple of expert reformer pilates teachers and those who have been to Nimble Studio so far have been “blown away” by the space, particularly the countryside views and calming, grounded and earthy atmosphere.

“Customers have come back after taster sessions and signed up for memberships,” said Leisha. “The main feedback is how good the hands-on coaching is and we have really small classes with a maximum of six people.”

The founder’s aim is to spread the message that reformer pilates is for everyone and looking to the future of the business, Leisha hopes to expand with targeted and specific classes and a larger physiotherapy team.
