Northampton Filmhouse at Derngate have confirmed that they will be reopening on Friday 11 December, following the government announcement of Northamptonshire falling into tier two post-lockdown.

All screenings will go ahead as advertised and tickets are available to book now on the Northampton FIlmhouse website.

A spokesperson for Northampton Filmhouse said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming audiences back safely to the big screen but, in line with the latest Covid-19 guidance, there are some further safety measures we need to take.

“Thank you so much for your support and we can't wait to welcome you all back!”

They added that anyone with a pre-existing booking for December should have already received an email about it.

Film listings include The Secret Garden, Shirley, War Horse and many more. Northampton Filmhouse will also be showing a variety of popular Christmas films such as Home Alone, It’s A Wonderful Life, Elf and The Muppet Christmas Carol.

More events are expected to be announced from the popular local filmhouse in the coming weeks.
