‘Wear It Pink’ Coffee & Paint: Cliftonville Care Home and Art Expressions UK CIC raise spirits and funds for breast cancer awareness
Residents at Cliftonville Care Home, Northampton enjoyed a vibrant and heartfelt Wear It Pink: Coffee & Paint wellbeing session on 21 October 2026, delivered in collaboration with Art Expressions UK CIC to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Now.

The home was awash with shades of pink as residents, staff, and members of the wellbeing team came together for a morning of creativity, conversation, and community spirit. The event combined guided painting activities with a relaxed coffee social, creating a warm and uplifting atmosphere that encouraged connection and emotional expression.
Art Expressions UK CIC, said the session was a powerful reminder of how creativity can bring people together for a meaningful cause. “Our aim is always to support wellbeing through art, and today felt especially significant. The residents painted with such joy and pride, knowing they were contributing to something bigger. It was beautiful to see the room filled with laughter, colour, and solidarity.”

Residents expressed delight throughout the session, many sharing that the activity helped them feel calm, engaged, and connected. Several proudly displayed their pink‑themed artwork, describing the morning as “uplifting”, “fun”, and “full of love”.
The Cliftonville wellbeing activities team praised the impact of the collaboration: “Our residents absolutely loved today’s session. The combination of painting and social time created a real buzz in the home. Art Expressions UK CIC always brings such warmth and encouragement, and the residents respond so positively. It’s wonderful to see them smiling, chatting, and creating something meaningful.”
A member of the care home staff team added: “Events like this make a huge difference. They give residents a sense of purpose and joy, and today’s focus on breast cancer awareness made it even more special. We’re proud to support such an important cause.”
