Northampton's most unique Sunday experience returns for one last time this year

Northampton has a hidden gem and this October it is hosting one of the most unique Sunday afternoons in the county.

The Black Diamond on Lower Harding Street is a stunning art deco inspired music hall, recently renovated and unlike anything else in Northampton. On Sunday 4th October it is the setting for the final Rat Pack Roast of 2026. Entry is completely free.

Come and enjoy an afternoon of live swing, jazz, and big band from the Rat Pack repertoire of the amazing Paul Robinson, with DJ Ray keeping the music flowing all afternoon long. Grab a drink and transport yourself back to the golden age of swing in a stunning art deco music hall, letting the smooth sounds of Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr set the scene for the most unique Sunday of the year.

Those wanting to make a full occasion of it can add a delicious homemade Sunday roast. Choose from Roast Topside Beef, Chicken Breast, Lamb Rump, or a Butternut Squash, Lentil and Almond Wellington, served with all the trimmings. Roast tickets are £20 for adults and £12 for children.

"Come for the music, stay for the roast, or enjoy both. There is nothing else like it in Northampton."

Adrian, events manager at The Black Diamond, said: "There really is nothing else like the Rat Pack Roast in Northampton. The combination of live swing music and a homemade Sunday roast in our art deco surroundings creates an atmosphere that transports you somewhere completely different. We are so proud of what we have created and we would love to see as many locals as possible join us for our last one of the year."

The event runs from 12pm to 7pm with the Sunday roast served from 12pm to 4pm and live entertainment from 1pm. Free entry. Table reservations and roast tickets available at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/rat-pack-roast-tickets-1993434984701 or the Black Diamond website: www.bdiamond.co.uk
