2. Sywell Country Park
Sywell Country Park is a lovely circular walk overlooking a reservoir. The walk measures around five kilometres and there is also a big play area for kids. Most importantly, there is a cafe next to the main car park, which offers a range of coffees, cakes and hot food. Photo: Alice Dyer

3. Harlestone Firs
The Paddock Pantry has a permanent home at Harlestone Firs and offers walkers a coffee pit stop, where delicious sweet treats can also be picked up. There are plenty of different walks in and around the Firs, but the Harlestone Firs to Harlestone village loop is a circular trail that covers just over nine kilometres. Photo: The Paddock Pantry

4. Hunsbury Hill Country Park
For a shorter walk, Hunsbury Hill offers a circular loop of just under two kilometres - so maybe one for the day when you don't have much time! But most importantly, you can still grab a coffee, as the park is home to the Drover's Return cafe, where full English breakfast and other winter warming meals are also on offer, as well as coffee and hot drinks.
