New support group launches in Northamptonshire for people affected by hoarding
A new peer support group for people affected by hoarding disorder is launching in Northamptonshire this week.
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service is promoting the initiative, which is being run by The Hopeful Hoarder and will offer a safe, welcoming space for people living with hoarding disorder, as well as family members and friends looking to better understand the condition.
The first session will take place at Brackley Fire Station on Friday, August 7, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said the group aims to provide non-judgemental peer support, help people learn more about the challenges of hoarding, and reduce the health, wellbeing and fire safety risks that can sometimes arise.

Following the launch, the group will meet on the first Friday of every month, with organisers saying everyone is welcome to attend.
