Several parades, multiple festivals and more are set to take place in Northampton town centre in 2024.
There really is something for everyone – and best of all, most of the events are completely free to attend.
To help you plan your year ahead, and the give you something to look forward to, Northampton Town Council has rounded-up a complete list of all the events in 2024.

9. Northampton Balloon Festival
The iconic balloon festival will return to the Racecourse from August 16 to August 18, 2024. Gates will open at midday and the event will end at 11pm (with last entry at 10pm) on all three of the days. 20,000 visitors are expected over the course of the weekend. Photo: Nat Jacquest Richards
10. Northampton Music Festival
The Northampton Music Festival will return in September on Sunday, September 8, 2024 with stages again expected to be at different locations across the town centre. Photo: David Jackson
11. Tales and Traditions of the Guildhall
As part of Heritage Open Day, the event will be hosted on September 14, 2024 at the Grade II listed building and will give visitors the chance to learn more about the history. More details to be released soon. Photo: Nadia Lincoln
12. Diwali Festival of Lights
The festival will take place on October 26 in Northampton town centre. There will be a colourful parade, with iconic floats, as well as stalls and entertainment throughout the day. Further details will be released in due course. Photo: Kirsty Edmonds
