Great Adamz and Maddox Jones join forces for latest single Letting Go
Northants singer-songwriters Great Adamz and Maddox Jones have teamed up again for new single Letting Go.
The track, which also features Romanian DJ Manuel Riva, was released at the end of October and follows previous collaborations by the pair on the track Body & Soul.

Produced by Riva, Adamz and Jones take turns singing confessionals about relationships gone sour.
The two observe the difference in behavior in their respective partners, then find themselves reflecting deeply on what went wrong before coming to the realisation they would rather part ways with their significant others than completely lose themselves in their relationships.
While the track feels somewhat up-tempo, the mood set by the melancholic synth layers and Afrobeat-inspired rhythms complement the emotional depth of the song.
The single has been released alongside an extended mix with a percussion outro and the ‘Manuel Riva Remix’ which gives the track an electro house refresh.
Born Great Adamatie in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, Great Adamz has been making waves in the UK music scene with his signature Afrobeat sound and captivating vocal style.
His talent has earned him accolades such as the Golden Star Artist of the Year (Diaspora) and the DAC Special Recognition Award in Music, recognising his outstanding contribution to Afrobeat music and the wider diaspora community.
This year, he landed back-to-back No.1 spots on Music Week’s Black Music Chart with Umada and Shake, his two collaborations with Romanian producer and Radikal Records labelmate, Manuel Riva.
The rising Afrobeat star is also part of the MOBO Awards alumni, having joined the prestigious MOBO Unsung Class of 2022, where he collaborated on a collective album and toured alongside artists including Crae Wolf and Zitah. Adamz and Crae Wolf later went on to create Kilon So, alongside Nigerian rap legend Erigga, which remains one of Adamz’s biggest records to date.
In 2025, he released the 18-track deluxe version of his debut album Blessed Boy, a celebration of life’s journey, embracing the ongoing conflict of blessings and daily challenges.
Upon its original release the album reached Number 2 on the iTunes Nigeria Charts and has amassed more than 6.5 million streams.
Having first found success as frontman of The Departure, Maddox Jones earned UK Top 40 singles and shared stages with the likes of The Killers and Placebo.
He launched his solo career in 2020 with the acclaimed EP Headspace.
The EP reached Number 4 in the iTunes Singer-Songwriter chart with 2021 single, Can’t Wait for the Summer hitting the top spot on the same chart.
He followed both with his debut album Believe It in 2022 and Waiting For The World To Turn in 2024.
