LIVE: Cobblers v Blackpool

Key Events

  • Town host Blackpool in final home game of the season
  • Fail to better Wigan’s result and Cobblers will be relegated
  • Watson, Kioso and Miller all start

45: SIX added minutes. Not surprising given the amount of delays we’ve had!

43: Been so many stoppages in this game. Now it’s Lloyd Jones who’s down and in need of treatment. Again looks in real pain. He’ll continue for now....

38: Huge save by Mitchell to keep Cobblers in the game. Stood strong to deny Yates who had somehow found himself through on goal. Just about keeps Town’s slip survival hopes alive... for now...

36: Now Blackpool are forced into a change. Gabriel is coming on for the injured Robson.

32: Hoskins skews well wide from the edge of the box. Tough chance after good approach play.

28: Miller looks a real threat for Cobblers, just went on another darting run but his cross is well defended.

27: Half a chance for Simms but he slices well wide under pressure from Horsfall.

24: Very frustrating that as Cobblers had started the game well and were on the front foot. It was a good strike by Garbutt but not sure Mitchell should be beaten from that angle. Town’s task just became that much harder.

19: Goal Blackpool. What a finish from Garbutt. Drilled into the bottom corner. Bit against the run of play it has to be said. Cobblers not happy, they thought there was a foul on Jones at the other end.

1-0 Blackpool

11: Oh no, what a chance that was! The defender slips and Alex Jones is clean through on goal, but he loses his footing too! Would only have had Maxwell to beat had he stayed on his feet.
