Lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, here's who makes the team and who has to be happy with a place on the bench...
1. Goalkeeper: David Cornell
A tough call between title-winner Adam Smith & current incumbent David Cornell but the latter edges it for his consistency and reliability over the last few years. Although a fine shot-stopper, Smith was prone to a rush of blood.
2. Right-back: Brendan Moloney
Cobblers have not been spoilt for great right-backs in recent seasons, which makes Brendan Moloney an obvious pick. The Irishman loved to go charging forward when free from injury and he always was solid at the back.
3. Centre-back: Zander Diamond
A regular for Wilder's title-winning team, although his best season actually came a year later. Superb for the Cobblers during their return to League One in 2016/17 and was a clear winner for the Player of the Year award.
4. Centre-back: Charlie Goode
Diamond's partner at the back was a tough call between Goode, Turnbull and Pierre but the current skipper gets the nod. A revelation as a loan signing last season and has gone from strength to strength with the armband this year.
