The 29-year-old joined the club on trial in 2015 under Chris Wilder before signing his first contract. Seven years, 56 goals and 299 appearances later, he is now part of the furniture at Sixfields. The first man in over 20 years hit 300 games for the club – and only the 15th ever – here is the story of Hoskins’ remarkable Cobblers career…

9. Mixed fortunes
Cobblers had an up and down season in League One the following year but there were still some high moments, most notably a 4-2 victory at Shrewsbury in which Hoskins starred with a goal and an assist. Photo: Pete Norton

10. Injury woes
Unfortunately a serious knee injury suffered in training in January curtailed Hoskins' season. He made 31 appearances and scored three goals in 2016/17 but did not play again until September. Photo: Pete Norton

11. Season to forget
The 2017/18 campaign was one to forget for Hoskins and his team. He scored twice in 29 games as Cobblers were relegated. He did net against Bury (pictured) as they briefly threatened to escape from danger under Dean Austin but it proved to be a false dawn. Photo: Pete Norton

12. Another new manager
Keith Curle became Hoskins' sixth different manager in October 2018 after Chris Wilder, Rob Page, Justin Edinburgh, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Dean Austin. Photo: Pete Norton
