After starting the season with a dramatic late victory over Colchester United last weekend, Town had to settle for a draw at Blundell Park after super sub Jordan Maguire-Drew scored with his very first touch of the game to cancel out Sam Hoskins’ 74th minute opener. Here are our player ratings from a below-par Cobblers performance on the Lincolnshire coast...
9. Sam Hoskins
Flying start to the season with three goals in two games and this was another fantastic finish that so nearly gave Cobblers a second win... 7 Photo: Pete Norton
10. Danny Hylton
The service up to him was erratic and lacked quality and he never seemed on the same wavelength as his strike partner. Cobblers have to get him involved much more if they are to improve their attacking output... 6 Photo: Pete Norton
11. Louis Appere
Seems sluggish and off the pace, particularly compared to the impressive way he finished last season. Ineffective for 45 minutes and was subsequently withdrawn at the break as Brady changed shape... 5 Photo: Pete Norton
12. Kieron Bowie
A rare but significant positive for Cobblers. Bright as a half-time sub and did superbly to set up Hoskins. Almost won it too as Crocombe denied him at his near post... 7 Photo: Pete Norton
