Town won the title with 99 points, 13 clear of next best Oxford United. That squad will go down in Cobblers folklore, but where are those players four years on? We take a look here...
1. Manager: Chris Wilder
It's fair to say Wilder has enjoyed more success than the Cobblers since they parted ways. He left for Sheffield United at the end of the season and has since led his boyhood club from League One to sixth in the Premier League.
2. Goalkeeper: Adam Smith
Smith spent one more season at Sixfields before leaving for Bristol Rovers the following summer. He joined Forest Green two years later and is now on loan at non-league Yeovil, alongside two other title-winning former Cobblers.
3. Right-back: Brendan Moloney
The Irishmen remained a Cobbler for a couple more seasons but left after 2017-18, eventually forced into early retirement due to a persistent knee injury. He completed his UEFA B licence last year and is keen to go into coaching.
4. Centre-back: Zander Diamond
The Scotsman was Town's player of the season a year after the title win. He moved to Mansfield in 2017 but suffered a similar fate to Moloney when a back injured led to retirement. He now coaches at Queen's Park in Scotland.
