In pictures: Day two of people enjoying the warm weather across Northampton

Although cooler than yesterday, today was still warm enough for many families to enjoy Northampton's parks and open spaces

As the sun continued to shine and the warm weather graced Northampton once again, families and residents enjoyed the town's open spaces for a second day running.

Hundreds of people visited Becket's Park, Upton Country Park and Abington Park to soak up some rays, indulge in an ice cream and make the most of play areas and green spaces, now that lockdown rules are easing.

The Chronicle & Echo's photographer was out and about at the town's hot spots today (March 31) to capture families having picnics, the spring flowers and the busy play areas.

A similar scene could be found across the borough yesterday (March 30), as well as the town hit temperatures as high as Spain.

However, a darker cloud was cast over Northampton this morning when residents woke up to find the litter that had been left behind.

Our plea to readers and the wider public is to continue to enjoy the weather and green spaces safely, but to please dispose of rubbish properly or take it home.

Below is a round-up of feel-good pictures of the people of Northampton making the most of the warm weather.
