Seventy-seven-year-old man died in car crash in Northampton, police confirm

Police have confirmed that a man died in a car crash in Northampton yesterday, Thursday.

A spokesperson said: "At about midday on Thursday, August 13, a grey Jaguar XF travelling towards Kingsthorpe on Welford Road was involved in a head-on collision with a brown Bentley Bentagya SUV which was travelling in the opposite direction.

"The driver of the Jaguar, a 77-year-old man, sadly died at the scene. It is believed he may have suffered a medical episode prior to the collision."
