Vehicle recovered but essential repairs continue on the major route around town
Highways remain at the scene of a crash on the A45 in Northampton which happened earlier today (Tuesday) when a car flipped onto its side on the Barnes Meadow flyover smashing into the central safety barrier at about 2pm.S/Sgt Woodall-Brooks from Northamptonshire Police tweeted: "Vehicle has now been recovered from the RTC.
"Westbound carriageway is now fully open but the Lane 2 closure is still in place on the eastbound to enable @HighwaysEMIDS to carry out essential repairs to the barriers."
Delays on the A45 were being reported at the time of publication.
No serious injuries have been reported by Northamptonshire Police.
