“It’s hard to be confident on whether a location is the right place for you, but we’ve built our reputation on having first-hand knowledge on the in-the-know places to live and places to go.”
Below are the top 10 places to live in Northamptonshire in 2024, according to Muddy Stilettos, including what the what’s on guide has written about each place.

9. Aynho
Muddy Stilettos said: ”On the borders of Northants and Oxfordshire, Aynho is just 10 mins from the M40 Junction 10 towards Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham to the north or Oxford and London to the south. It’s known as the apricot village for the fruit trees that are commonly grown here and is perfectly pretty, with winding lanes and picturesque limestone cottages surrounded by rolling rural vistas.” Photo: Muddy Stilettos

10. The Bringtons
Muddy Stilettos said: "Locations don’t get much better than Althorp House and The Bringtons skirt the perimeter of Lady Di’s childhood home, so it’s safe to say that the surrounding landscape is rolling, unspoilt and rather picturesque. There are honey coloured thatched houses a-plenty but there’s no shortage of buzzing village life and easy access to great eateries and entertainment.” Photo: Muddy Stilettos
