Below are the top 10 places to live in Northamptonshire in 2024, according to Muddy Stilettos, including what the what’s on guide has written about each place.

5. Silverstone
Muddy Stilettos said: ”If you want a slice of glamour and sophistication with your village life, then Silverstone’s a good place to start. Regular visitors include Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt, to name a few. There’s all sorts of exciting development here, from plentiful housing to engineering and technology hubs and super luxe hospitality, but when the crowds go home, the heart of this charming village is it’s vibrant community.” Photo: Muddy Stilettos

6. Hardingstone
Muddy Stilettos said: ”Moving to the shire doesn’t necessarily mean you want to be miles away from where everything’s happening. On the periphery of Northampton, Hardingstone strikes the perfect balance between town and country, with village vibes, good schools on the doorstep and easy access to top restaurants and culture. All just moments from fantastic transport links.” Photo: Muddy Stilettos

7. Earls Barton
Muddy Stilettos said: ”Peaceful village life with the bustle and amenities befitting a town, there’s loads going on here from am dram to a lively marina and a rich industrial history visible in the smattering of factory and warehouse conversions. There’s even a summer carnival. And all within a fairly decent commute of London.” Photo: Muddy Stilettos

8. Weedon
Muddy Stilettos said: ”A large, vibrant village with both Watling Street (famous Roman road – look it up!) and the Grand Union Canal meandering alongside, and within a stone’s throw of the M1 Junction 16, Weedon is ideal for commuting. But there’s a lot more to this buzzing community than just location. Steeped in history, you’ll find oodles of character here and a ton of brilliant businesses from fitness and foodie to bookshops and bridal boutiques.” Photo: Muddy Stilettos
