So many fondly-remembered pubs have shut their doors over the years but are still in the memories of their customers.
These photos - researched by Dave Knibb, the Northampton author of 'Last Orders: A History and Directory of Northampton Pubs' - show some of the town's old stomping grounds. Do you remember stopping for a drink in any of them?
13. Hare and Hounds - Newland
This town centre pub closed in the early 1970s to make way for the Grosvenor Centre.
14. Dover Castle - Dover Street
Older readers may remember the Dover Castle before it was knocked down in 1972 to make way for redevelopment.
15. King's Head - Mayorhold
The King's Head as on the north corner of Mayorhold on the corner of St Andrews Street, and close to another pub on this list, The Green Dragon.
16. Tramcar - 110 Kettering Road
Not much to say about the Tramcar, but patrons will remember its closure in 1974 when it was knocked down for development.
