Northamptonshire Police have said they sent out armed officers to a property in Harpole at 6pm yesterday in response to the welfare of a man.
Around 12 to 15 officers, all armed and some with police dogs, had the house in Northampton Road surrounded from 6pm until around 7.30pm.

Hide AdA Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said: "This happened just before 6pm yesterday in Northampton Road, Harpole, when we responded to an incident regarding the welfare of a member of the public.
"He has now been safeguarded. There was no wider risk to members of the public at the time of this incident."
