Retailers invited to free event tackling crime across Northamptonshire
Retailers and businesses across Northampton are being invited to a free event aimed at tackling retail crime and improving security.
The Northamptonshire Business Crime Partnership (NBCP) is hosting its ‘Fight Back Against Retail Crime’ event at The Castle Theatre in Wellingborough on Tuesday, November 10, from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
Organised in association with Smoke Screen UK, the event will bring together representatives from policing, retail and crime prevention organisations to discuss ways of preventing and detecting offences.
Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone will officially open the event.

Guest speakers will include Mark Mullen from Northampton Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID), Inspector Adam Morrow from Northamptonshire Police, Ali Farr from NBCP and Sophie Jordan from the National Association of Business Crime Partnerships.
Representatives from Tesco, Sainsbury’s and organisations tackling organised crime will also speak.
Neighbourhood policing officers from across Northamptonshire will attend, alongside security specialists, with a demonstration of the Smokescreen security system also planned.
The event is free to attend, with refreshments and lunch provided.
Although advance booking is not essential, organisers are encouraging anyone planning to attend to email [email protected] to help with catering and arrangements.
