Man pleads not guilty to stabbing victim in the stomach after street brawl in Northampton

A 26-year-old man will appear at Northampton Crown Court next month after pleading not guilty to stabbing a man in the stomach just under two weeks ago.The stabbing took place in Crow Lane at around 9.30pm on Saturday, March 27.

Dale David Tonks, 26, of Goose Pastures, Northampton appeared at Northampton Magistrates Court on March 29 charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding a man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He has also been charged with being in possession of bladed or sharply pointed articles in a public place without good reason or lawful authority, namely scissors and a kitchen knife.

Tonks has been remanded in custody until his appearance at Northampton Crown Court on May 12.
