A man has been charged after a brawl between two men in Northampton resulted in one of them being stabbed.

The stabbing took place in Crow Lane at around 9.30pm on Saturday, March 27 when two men came to blows. One of them was stabbed in the stomach and had to be rushed to hospital.

Police were deployed to the scene and a male suspect attempted to flee from officers but gave up when he was faced with PD Boycie, who then also tracked a knife and pair of scissors discarded by the suspect.

Dale David Tonks, 26, of Goose Pastures, has been charged with Section 18 - wounding with intent in connection with the incident.
