A woman has been charged in connection with vital equipment being stolen from a hospital.

The 48-year-old has now been charged with theft after personal protective equipment (PPE) was taken from Northampton General Hospital.

It is alleged that the important pieces of equipment were then attempted to be sold online.

A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police said: “Karolina Zarina, 48, of Northampton, has been charged with theft in connection with this incident.

“She will next appear at Magistrates Court on June 30.”

Northampton General Hospital declined to comment on this matter.
