Forty-eight-year-old woman charged after PPE equipment was stolen from Northampton General Hospital
It is alleged that the equipment was then attempted to be sold online
A woman has been charged in connection with vital equipment being stolen from a hospital.
Karolina Zarina was arrested on suspicion of theft when the incident happened at the end of April.
The 48-year-old has now been charged with theft after personal protective equipment (PPE) was taken from Northampton General Hospital.
It is alleged that the important pieces of equipment were then attempted to be sold online.
A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police said: “Karolina Zarina, 48, of Northampton, has been charged with theft in connection with this incident.
“She will next appear at Magistrates Court on June 30.”
Northampton General Hospital declined to comment on this matter.
