Five men and two boys arrested by detectives treating Northampton stabbing as attempted murder

Detectives investigating an attempted murder in Northampton have issued security camera photos of four men they want to speak to.
A 31-year-old man was left with life-threatening injuries after being brutally stabbed in a late-night attack in Goldings on February 7.

Hide AdThe victim has since been released from hospital and is continuing with his recovery.
Five men and two boys aged between 15 and 25 have so far been arrested and questioned in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Now officers from the Operation Ejector incident room are looking for four men who were believed to be in the area at the time and may hold vital information about the attack.
DS Becky Simmons said: "We are really keen to identify these four people as we think they were in the area at the time of the offence and therefore may have information which could help progress our enquiries."

Hide AdThe incident happened on at about 8.30pm on a Sunday night when police received 999 calls that that a man in his 30s had been stabbed multiple times.
DS Simmons added: “I would encourage the four men in these photos, or anyone who recognises them, to contact us on 101 using reference number 21000078249. Or, if you don’t feel comfortable calling us, you can use our online reporting system on the Northants Police website. If you would prefer to remain anonymous, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
“This was a very serious offence which we are not prepared to tolerate on our streets and we are determined to bring all of those responsible to justice.”
