All of them were jailed during the year just ending and received some of the heaviest sentences handed down by judges at Northampton and other crown courts.

A 71-year-old paedophile will spend the next 20 years in jail after his victim bravely spoke out to police. PHILLIP GREENWOOD, formerly of Rushden, was found guilty at trial and sentenced at a hearing in November.

RYAN JOHNSON, aged 31, from Duston, was locked up for ten years after being found guity of child sex offences in February.

Northampton Crown Court heard how Leicester bar owner DAVE TSOUVALLARIS, 32, sexually assaulted a young girl after grooming her online. He will serve at least six years of a 10-year sentence behind bars after being jailed in March.

PATRICK McDONAGH, 40, was jailed for 22 years at Northampton Crown Court for rounding up three brothers to carry out a brutal attack on a relative on New Year's Day, 2020. McDonagh, of Rushden, was convicted of attempted murder and brother JOHN (right) of GBH and jailed for 13 years, six months.
