The fire has now reduced but is still alight in places.

Group commander Ro Cutler: “We now have five vehicles on site as we continue to tackle the fire, including protecting adjoining properties.

“Our specialist fire investigation team is on site, including our fire investigation dog, to help us establish the cause of the fire.

“We are working with Northamptonshire Police and the Local Resilience Forum and expect there to be some disruption in the area for the rest of the weekend, although we aim to scale back the cordons currently in place as soon as possible.”

Access to the area is still possible via Bedford Rd and Landimore Rd.

Images have shown damage to a warehouse building as well a unit belonging to baby gift firm My 1st Years.

Earlier this morning fire crews confirmed nobody was hurt in the incident with the cause unknown at this stage.
