Home-buyers are hoping to move in by August this year

A new sought-after housing development in Northampton has reached the stage whereby properties have been released for sale.

Bellway's Duston Gardens development, off Bants Lane, consists of 70 homes, 63 of which will be available for private sale and the remaining seven will be affordable housing through shared ownership.

The homes on the site of the former British Timken Site have already received a lot of interest as more than 500 people registered their interest before the site opened.

Properties are now available for sale and one home-buyers are hoping to move in by August this year.

Sales director for Bellway Northern Home Counties, Luke Southgate, added: “The high level of interest we have seen from homebuyers looking to purchase in Duston shows the demand for new homes in the area and the strength of the property market.

“We are making good progress on the construction of these much-needed homes and are looking forward to the first residents moving onto the site later this year.

“The wide mix of homes we are providing is attracting a variety of buyers at different stages of the property ladder, creating a new, vibrant community.

There is currently a range of three and four-bed homes available to purchase at Duston Gardens, with prices starting from £292,500.
